Clear aligner treatment in Perth & WA

Straighter teeth, discreetly.

Clear aligners are a series of custom-made, removable trays that gradually move teeth into a planned position. They can be an option for many adults and teenagers with mild to moderate crowding, spacing or bite concerns.

How it works

How clear aligners work

Clear aligner treatment starts with a digital scan of your teeth. Your clinician uses this to plan the movement of each tooth in small steps, and a series of aligners is made to follow that plan. You change to a new set of aligners at regular intervals, usually every one to two weeks, and attend check-ups so your clinician can monitor progress.

Aligners need to be worn for around 20 to 22 hours a day to work as planned, and removed only to eat, drink anything other than water, and clean your teeth. Some treatments use small tooth-coloured attachments bonded to the teeth to help the aligners grip and guide movement.

Aligners are not suitable for every case. More complex bite or jaw concerns may be better treated in other ways, and your clinician will explain this honestly at your consultation. After treatment, wearing retainers is essential to help keep your teeth in their new position.

FAQs

Questions about clear aligners

All frequently asked questions

How much does clear aligner treatment cost?

The cost depends on how much your teeth need to move, how long treatment is expected to take and the number of aligners and reviews involved. Retainers after treatment are another cost to plan for.

Your clinician will confirm whether aligners are suitable for you, and you will receive a written estimate before treatment begins.

How many hours a day do I need to wear aligners?

Usually around 20 to 22 hours a day. Aligners are removed to eat, drink anything other than water, and to brush and floss. Wearing them less than recommended can slow treatment or affect the result.

Are clear aligners suitable for everyone?

No. Aligners can treat many cases of mild to moderate crowding, spacing and some bite concerns, but more complex cases may be better treated with other approaches. Your clinician will assess your teeth and explain your options honestly.

Will I need a retainer afterwards?

Yes. Teeth naturally tend to move after any straightening treatment. Retainers help hold them in their new position, and your clinician will explain how and when to wear them long term.

Which aligner brands do you offer?

We work with selected aligner systems. Your clinician will recommend the most suitable option for your case at your consultation.

How long does aligner treatment take?

Many treatments take somewhere between several months and around 18 months, depending on how much movement is needed and how consistently aligners are worn. Your digital plan will include an estimated timeframe.
